DOES IT COME IN PUCE?

Adverts, adverts, adverts,
but for nothing I want to buy:
all arthouse wank and cryptic;
fuckin’ Christmas must be nigh…
‘We’ve spent the equivalent of a high scoring Scrabble-named country that you couldn’t point to on a map’s annual GDP on a television ad’ campaign designed to ensure that you know exactly which high performance car to stuff into your loved one’s stocking this Christmas and which minuscule application of coloured water in a collectible bottle/box combo (that cost more to manufacture than the pissy liquid inside it did) to douse him/her with in order to ensure that they smell like the toxic runoff from a reservoir polluting multinational chemical plant and not like a human being.’
Adverts, fuckin’ adverts:
yes please, I’ll have four. Does it come in puce and smell of piss?
Merry fuckin’ Christmas x

Bards of Bugger All

After a 50 date national tour promoting The Antipoet’s ‘Bards of Bugger All’ album throughout the summer, Paul (together with Ian) is now putting the finishing touches to album number 6, ‘We Play For Food’ with an expected release date of March 2017.

3-of-us

‘The jewel in Larmer’s crown, The Antipoet, this festival’s heroes the beatrapping duo. It’s unexpectedly delightful things like this that make Larmer Tree what it is.’
– Bournemouth Echo July 2016

‘We want Antipoet next year, otherwise I’m sure there’ll be a riot from the audience.’
– Anna Harriot, Arts Programmer Larmer Tree Festival July 2016

The Lyrical Cabaret will re emerge on 30th October and 18th December at Coco (Perch & Co), Watford Road, Croxley Green, Herts WD3 3BZ, both with excellent line ups to make up for us buggering off for the summer.

Tea Shop Tales kicked off a new season with a new venue; the rather lovely ‘Queens Wood Cafe,’ Muswell Hill Road, N103JP on 8th September, and continues on the Second Thursday of every month from here on.

A great festival season thus far: Fronting The Odds at Rickmansworth Festival, taking The Antipoet to Glastonbury’s muddiest festival for many a year, the deliciousness of playing alongside peacocks at Larmer Tree Festival, performing spoken work together with fronting Polkabilly Circus at Wisley Arts Festival and there’s still another eleven dates before the end of the festival season!

Summer Festival Dates

Final poster

Some gorgeous festivals lined up for 2016. In addition to, ‘The Antipoet’ listings above, Paul will also be reading at Wisley Festival on 17th July as well as being joined there by Polkabilly Circus for a musical interlude to a summer of spoken word. More music sees Paul fronting, ‘The Odds’ at The Aston Clinton Beer Festival on 30th July. For details see events diary and have a fantastic summer!

THANK YOU!

After a couple of weeks of running around the country, as the gobby half of The Antipoet, Paul would like to thank Hammer and Tongue for having them at all of their wonderful events as part of, ‘The Bards of Bugger All’ tour 2016. Watch this space for some exciting festival news, should be an excellent summer!
